Go out: Record Store Day was yesterday — does HBO not have any sense of timing? Anyways, to perhaps celebrate the improved weather, Silent Disco Squad will be holding a dance party on Mount Royal starting at 2 p.m. at the Jeanne Mance statue and ending somewhere closer to the summit. Download the mix in advance here and put it on your preferred portable listening music device as you walk up the mountain with your fellow dancers. EL
Stay in: Vinyl (HBO, 9 p.m.) I could complain about Martin Scorsese freighting this Mick Jagger collaboration with a Mob angle and a brutal murder. I could also complain about the gigantic narrative bombs dropped and then apparently abandoned (fatal car crash, anyone?). I could and I just did, but never mind that. I love this Mobbed-up retro rock soap opera about Richie (Bobby Cannavale), his record label, and his friends, foes and lovers. Season 2 has been confirmed so the story will continue beyond tonight’s Season 1 finale, but I can’t wait to see what happens in what looks like a showdown between Richie, a betrayal artist like the TV world has never seen, and his partner and longtime friend Zak (Ray Romano). And how about those Nasty Bits? Will Kip (James Jagger) shoot himself in both feet this time? Cue the music (and by that I mean the official soundtrack, available now). DD
